BROOKS BEASTS TRACK CLUB

A lot of people don't know this, but Brooks was actually the first shoe company to sponsor a distance training group- the Hansons. Over the years, their commitment to track and field has grown and they decided to start a track group here in Seattle, where they are headquartered. Brooks has done a stellar job of putting together an all-star support system for all of us athletes on the team. Check out more about Brooks and their Run Happy culture at brooksrunning.com.

COACH:
Danny Mackey is the real deal. He combines his plethora of experiences working in human performance labs, designing track spikes, and his science-based approach to training to help each one of his athletes reach their athletic potential. He does this all while rocking these ridiculous boots and on special occasions jorts.

TEAMMATES:
I have the pleasure of training with some of the coolest runners around.
Women:
Angela Bizarri: 5k; Our shared love for animal print body suits makes us great training partners
Katie Mackey: 1500 meter rockstar; Don't get her started on her love for her cat Pico
Megan Malasarte:
Amanda Mergaert:
Brie Felnagle: 1500, 5k; Girl's got speed...and admirers
Phoebe Wright: 800; Looking for witty and energetic? Look no further

Men:
Garrett Heath: 1500/5k; Everybody wants to grow up to be Garrett. He's simply the man.
Casimir Loxsom: 800; This East Coast boy never says no to a 600m race
Riley Masters: 1500: When he's not running, he can be found crushing it on instagram
Nick Symmonds: 800: I may or may not have had a poster of him hanging in my college dorm.
Dorian Ulrey: 1500: Homeboy's got the most impressive traps you'll ever see on a distance runner
Mark Wieczorek: 800: Think of literally any activity. Wizzo is likely the best at it.

In-Health: The members of In-Health keep the Beasts running strong and healthy through their expertise in chiropractic therapy, massage, and acupuncture.

Berkeley Test: In 1998, the Nobel Prize for medicine was awarded for discovering that elevated levels of Nitric Oxide increases performance & endurance. The Berkeley Test uses saliva test strips to help me monitor my Nitric Oxide levels to ensure I'm performing at my peak.
